Your Pets Are Happier at Home

A familiar environment reduces stress and provides physical and emotional benefits. But you may be wondering what makes us unique...

What makes us unique?

A brief overview of the 20 to 30-minute industry standard

More than two decades as a pet sitting professional has taught me many valuable things, but the most important by far is this: I have long understood that the pet sitting industry standard of 20 to 30-minute visits is generally inadequate. In most cases, this does not allow for a true bond of trust to develop and it demands that the pet sitter accomplish things in a hasty manner.

  • This is where mistakes are made
  • Where things get overlooked
  • Where missed opportunities become apparent

Typically, a pet sitter will provide extra time but only with an added fee, which can be substantial.

The Friendly Pet Sitter charges one basic fee. No hidden costs. No extras. That's our promise. That's our commitment to you and your pets. And most importantly, it represents Our Values!

Our Values

At The Friendly Pet Sitter, we are committed to providing the highest level of care for your pets. We believe in treating every pet as if they were our own and providing a safe and comfortable environment for them to thrive.

Dogs and cats need more than a rushed—Get-it-done-as-quickly-as-possible-so-I-can-get-to-my-next-visit—sort of mentality. But too often this is exactly what a pet parent gets when they sign up for the "Industry Standard Visit."

Anyone who has loved and learned about our precious companions understands that they FEEL our moods, our energy, and know of our intentions simply through proximity and reading us so well. They have sensibilities that, collectively, we are only beginning to understand.

Now, let’s talk about our precious felines for a moment.

Cat lovers know that felines share very little in common with dogs (typically, though there are cat-dog exceptions).

The common sentiment:

Cats are independent. They want to be left alone. They are unfriendly, aloof.

This is an assumption that, very often, proves untrue the more you spend quality time with your feline.

Ok, sure, there might be the occasional cat, typically a feral or a similar sensibility, who will not need playtime and lap naps or any sort of extra care. They don’t want to be immediate friends—no matter how well-intentioned you are. They will remain under the bed or in the closet no matter what you do.

However, the vast majority of cats do want—in fact, NEED—that human interaction. They simply have to establish trust with their caregiver, which requires more from a pet sitter than a "quickie visit" will allow. And we all know a happy and satisfied feline is all that much more healthy and prepared for your trip away from home.

Our Guarantee

We offer a 45-Minute Guarantee on all our pet sitting visits. No rushing. No stress. Only quality service with attention to thorough care by:

  • Fostering a comfortable and safe environment for your pets to play, eat, sleep, and relax. An environment where they can truly be themselves
  • Providing a written note detailing some of the interactions, temperament, and health of your pet
  • Making the time to get to know your pet and their unique personality and requirements

Why?

BECAUSE YOU AND YOUR PETS DESERVE IT!

  • For those clients who prefer a shorter visit, we offer customized care plans to suit your needs

• refrains from slander of competitors, peers, industry organizations and affiliates, and follows the appropriate venues to provide constructive feedback and/ or address concerns in a respectful manner.
