The Friendly Pet Sitter has been providing reliable, trustworthy and conscientious pet care services for over 22 years! Our passion for animals has driven us to create a safe and comfortable environment for all pets in our care.

Hi I'm Laura! Originally from the east coast, I opened my pet sitting business in 2001 and once I created a website the following year, my clientele eventually expanded to more than a thousand. I have been dubbed “The Cat Whisperer” by my clients but have shared my time with many companion animals.

I've been serving pet parents, supporting their much-needed vacations and time spent with family and friends. I witnessed many checks to bucket lists, beach trips and cruises, watched their kids grow, and helped them raise puppies and kittens.

I have learned so much in two decades of pet sitting, especially the value of patience, intentionality, and meaningful connections. In addition to the every day joy of having another furry friend, the biggest reward I have received is the one of trust. Every time a pet parent extends their trust and faith in me, I am truly blessed. Developing these relationships has been the highlight of my life. 

As sole proprietor, I am responsible 

for all aspects of running the business and developing and maintaining loving relationships with clients and their pets.
